One-owner telescopes, mounts, cameras and accessories that have come back to us through trade-in and consignment. Everything here is a single item — when it sells, it is gone. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Two kinds of stock share this page. Used and open-box items are ones we own outright. Consignment items belong to their original owner and are sold on their behalf; we handle the listing, the questions and the shipping. Either way the buying experience is the same, and each listing says which it is.

What a listing tells you

• A condition grade — Excellent, Very Good, Good or Open Box — with a written note on cosmetic wear.
• Photographs of the actual item, not stock images.
• Exactly what is included: cases, diagonals, counterweights, cables, hand controllers, original packaging, and anything missing.
• Any modifications or upgrades the previous owner made.

Before you buy

Used gear carries no manufacturer warranty, and we do not provide warranty or repair service on it. Consignment items are sold as described, and the sale is final — with one exception: if a functional defect is found and reported within 7 calendar days of delivery, the sale can be cancelled and the item returned. That window exists to protect both the buyer and the seller.

If anything in a listing is unclear — whether a mount will carry your tube, whether a camera's backfocus works with your flattener, whether a thread is the one you need — ask before you order. We will check and tell you straight.

Selling your own gear

Upgrading, or clearing out a shelf? We take astronomy equipment on consignment: you set the price with us, we photograph and list it, and you are paid 14 days after it sells. The full terms, including the commission, are on the consignment page.
