Astronomy Computers & Imaging Controllers

An astronomy computer or imaging controller sits on the telescope and runs the camera, mount, focuser, filter wheel and guiding, so you can plan, capture and monitor an imaging session from a phone, tablet or laptop instead of a cable-tethered PC. App-based controllers such as the ZWO ASIAIR Plus and Mini are built around ZWO's own cameras and accessories, StellarMate X and Pro use the open INDI ecosystem to support many brands, and PrimaLuce Lab's EAGLE5 PRO is a full Windows computer with built-in power distribution; the iOptron iMate and ToupTek StellaVita are compact controllers for their own systems. To power the rest of the rig in the field, see power boxes and controllers.
