Dobsonian Telescopes

A Dobsonian is a Newtonian reflector on a simple rocker-box alt-azimuth base, which puts the most aperture per dollar into an easy-to-use visual telescope. The main choices are aperture and tube style: tabletop models like the Sky-Watcher Heritage 130 and Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm suit small spaces, solid-tube and collapsible Dobsonians run from 6 to 16 inches, and the Sky-Watcher Flextube SynScan and Virtuoso GTi add GoTo pointing. Larger Dobsonians are easier to move on a set of wheeley bars.
