Used – Good Condition. A pre-owned Tele Vue Nagler 9mm Type 6 — the 82° ultra-wide 1.25" eyepiece that has been a benchmark for high-power, wide-field viewing for decades. This one shows cosmetic wear from regular use and comes with its dust caps, but without the original box.

About the Nagler 9mm Type 6

The Nagler Type 6 series packs a genuine 82° apparent field into a compact, lightweight 1.25" barrel — a rare combination that made it a favourite for both grab-and-go setups and binoviewer/Dobsonian use where weight at the focuser matters. The 9mm delivers a true high-power "spacewalk" view of globular clusters, planetary nebulae and lunar detail, with 7 elements in 4 groups, roughly 12mm of eye relief, a 12.4mm field stop and a weight of only about 6.7 oz. The barrel is threaded for 1.25" filters.

Tele Vue introduced the Nagler Type 7 line in 2025, which includes a 9mm — making clean, well-cared-for Type 6 examples increasingly worth grabbing on the used market. Full manufacturer specifications are available at televue.com.
