About the PowerTank Lithium LT

The PowerTank Lithium LT is Celestron's smallest and lightest lithium power pack, weighing just 1.4 lb. Unlike generic lithium packs whose output sags as they drain, the LT has a built-in voltage regulator that holds the 12V telescope output steady (at least 11.8V) for most of the battery's life, so your mount's motors and electronics keep performing properly all night.

It has a voltage-regulated 12V DC 3A telescope port and a 2.1A USB port for charging a phone or tablet, recharges from flat in about 4 hours, and includes automatic shut-off plus reverse-polarity, overcurrent and short-circuit protection. At 73.3 Wh it meets FAA carry-on limits, and it works with Celestron computerized mounts including the NexStar SE, SLT and Evolution, Advanced VX, CGEM II and CPC series.
