Astronomy Filter Wheels

A filter wheel holds several filters in front of the camera and rotates them into the light path, so a monochrome camera can capture LRGB or narrowband channels in one session without touching the imaging train. Match the wheel to your filter size and sensor — 1.25" or 31mm for smaller sensors, 36mm for APS-C-class sensors, and 2" or 50mm for full frame — with motorised options including the ZWO EFW Next Gen, Player One Phoenix, QHYCCD CFW3, Starfield Xagyl and Pegasus Astro Indigo, and manual wheels such as the SVBONY SV133. A wheel also adds thickness between the camera and any corrector, so check your back-focus; for a single-filter setup, see filter drawers and holders.
