The DVA is a dovetail clamp that bolts to your existing tube rings or telescope and accepts either a Losmandy D-series or a Vixen-style V-series plate. Once it is mounted, equipment can be interchanged without tools. It is machined aluminium and weighs 7.25 oz. Height from the top of the dovetail plate to the top of the DVA is 0.800" on D plates and 0.550" on V plates. The centre hole is threaded 5/16"-18 and the remaining mounting holes are 1/4" pass-through.

• Plates: Losmandy D-series — the 14", 19" and 24" plates — and Vixen-style V-series, including the 7" and 11" plates.
• Mounting hardware: the centre hole is 5/16"-18 threaded; the others pass 1/4" bolts straight through. Screws to suit your rings are not included — tell us what you are bolting it to and we will confirm what you need.
• The reverse problem: the D to V adapter plate provides a saddle above a dovetail, for when you need to add a saddle rather than a clamp.
• Guide scopes: the DVR108 rings already clamp directly to a dovetail, so a guide scope in those rings does not need a DVA.

• You supply the bolts that attach it to your rings or tube. The hole pattern is 5/16"-18 in the centre with 1/4" pass-through holes around it.
• It adds a little over half an inch of height — 0.800" on a D plate, 0.550" on a V plate. That raises whatever sits on it, which matters for clearance on a short tube near the mount.
• Check the hole spacing on your rings against the DVA's pattern before ordering. Send us the ring model and we will confirm it.
