Product Overview

The LCLS-FT is a set of three lever-type, indexable handles that replace the round knobs on the leg clamps of the Losmandy folding tripod — one per leg. Being indexable, each lever can be repositioned out of the way. Losmandy notes that the levers are only compatible with the HD folding tripod.

Who It's For

This is the complete set, and for most people it is the one to buy: a tripod has three leg clamps, and leaving two of them on round knobs defeats the point. A lever takes a quarter turn where a knob takes several, which matters most in the cold, in gloves, or when the mount is already sitting on the tripod and you need to level it.

Key Features & Design

  • Set of 3 — one lever per tripod leg.
  • Lever-type handles in place of the standard round knobs.
  • Indexable, so each lever can be repositioned clear of obstructions.
  • Fits the leg clamps of the folding tripod.
  • HD folding tripod only — Losmandy is explicit that the levers are not compatible with other tripods.

Recommended Uses

Converting all three leg clamps on an HD folding tripod at once. Cold-weather and gloved operation. Levelling on uneven ground at the start of each session. Any setup where leg height is adjusted often rather than set once.

Compatibility and Accessory Notes

Good to Know Before You Order

  • HD folding tripod only. This is Losmandy's own restriction — tell us your tripod and we will confirm before you order.
  • Three levers cover one tripod. If you run two tripods, you need two sets.
  • Indexable is worth understanding: each lever lifts and re-seats at a new angle rather than spinning freely, so you choose where it rests.
  • Losmandy publishes no weight or dimensions for this set.
  • Specifications are Losmandy's published figures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to set up?

No. Each round knob comes off its leg clamp and a lever goes on in its place — three times.

Will they fit my tripod?

Only the HD folding tripod, per Losmandy. Send us your tripod model and we will check.

How many are in the set?

Three — one per leg.

What does indexable mean?

The lever can be lifted and re-seated at a different angle, so it rests clear of the leg or the spreader.

Is there a single-lever version?

Yes — the LCLS, if you only need to replace one.

Bottom Line

In short: three indexable lever handles for the leg clamps of a Losmandy HD folding tripod — one per leg, quicker to work than round knobs, and repositionable so they stay out of the way.
