SVBONY SV211 203mm saddle handle bar for SV503 102mm and SV550 122mm telescopes

Product Overview

The SVBONY SV211 is a 203 mm handle bar that bolts to the top of a telescope's tube rings or dovetail, giving you a solid grip for lifting the optical tube on and off the mount. It is CNC-machined from 6061T aluminium and anodized red, measures 203 x 42 x 39 mm, and weighs 161.5 g (5.7 oz). The two M6 mounting screws sit 187 mm apart, and the bar also accepts M4 set screws, so it works with both common ring-top hole patterns.

Who It's For

This is a good match if you own a mid-size refractor such as the SVBONY SV503 102mm f/7 or SV550 122mm f/7 and want a safer, easier way to carry the tube between the case and the mount, or if you set up and tear down every session and want to avoid handling the tube by its focuser or dew shield.

Key Features & Design

  • One-piece CNC 6061T aluminium: machined and anodized for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish.
  • 203 mm length: wide enough for a full-hand grip, with 187 mm between the two M6 mounting points.
  • Dual M6 and M4 interfaces: two M6 mounting screws plus four M4 set screws are supplied, covering the most common ring and plate hole spacings.
  • Low profile: 39 mm high and 42 mm wide, so it adds little bulk to the tube assembly.
  • Light: 161.5 g, with negligible effect on mount payload or balance.

Recommended Uses

  • Carrying the optical tube: lifting a refractor in and out of its case and onto the mount saddle with one secure grip point.
  • Protecting the tube during transport: SVBONY designed the bar to reduce knocks and wear when the telescope is moved to a dark site.
  • Accessory mounting point: the top of the bar gives a stable surface on the tube assembly.

Compatibility and Accessory Notes

  • SVBONY-listed fit: SV503 102mm f/7 and SV550 122mm f/7 optical tubes.
  • Mounting: two M6 screws at 187 mm centres, or M4 set screws. Any tube ring or plate with matching holes accepts the bar.

Good to Know Before You Order

  • Hole spacing: the M6 points are 187 mm apart. Rings with a different spacing can use the M4 set-screw option where the threads line up.
  • Tube rings not included: the bar attaches to existing rings or a top plate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to set up?

No. It bolts to the top of your tube rings with the supplied M6 or M4 screws, and the M5 wrench is in the box.
