SVBONY SV194 Nikon F-mount T-ring adapter key visual

Product Overview

The SVBONY SV194 is a T-ring that connects a T2 (M42×0.75) thread to a Nikon F-mount camera body. It is the camera-side piece of a prime-focus astrophotography train: the telescope's T-adapter, flattener or extension threads into it, and it bayonets onto your Nikon SLR or DSLR in place of a lens. It is machined from aluminium in black and weighs 31 g.

Compatibility and Accessory Notes

  • Camera: Nikon F-mount SLR and DSLR bodies.
  • Telescope side: T2 / M42×0.75. SVBONY also makes a wide M48×0.75 version of the SV194 for 2″ and M48 trains; each product contains one size.
  • Spacing: SVBONY does not publish an optical length for the SV194. If you are building a train to a flattener's backfocus, send us your parts list and we will check the total with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to set up?

No. Thread it onto your telescope's T2 adapter, then mount the camera body on it like a lens.

Will autofocus or aperture control work?

No. It is a mechanical connection; exposure is set manually on the camera.

Does it fit M48 adapters?

This one is T2 (M42). SVBONY makes a separate M48 version.

Bottom Line

In short: an aluminium T2 (M42×0.75) to Nikon F-mount T-ring that puts a Nikon SLR or DSLR at the end of a telescope or T2 imaging train.
