Product Overview

This is the mechanical half of a Pegasus Astro SCT focus installation sold on its own: the aluminium SCT bracket, the pulley, the timing belt and the bolts, cut for the 11-inch Celestron. It is what you need when the motor you already own has to move onto a different telescope — or when a belt or pulley needs replacing.

There is no motor and no controller in this kit. It is hardware only.

Who It's For

This is a good match if you:

  • Own a FocusCube Zero or Motor Focus Kit Zero and want to move it between telescopes, leaving a bracket permanently on each.
  • Have added an 11-inch SCT to the rig and want to drive it with a motor you already have.
  • Need a replacement belt, pulley or bracket after a season of use or a transport mishap.
  • Run more than one Celestron and would rather swap a motor than buy a second one.

Key Features & Design

  • SCT bracket: the aluminium bracket that carries the Pegasus focus motor at the telescope's focus knob.
  • Pulley and timing belt: the belt drive is what gives the Pegasus SCT focusers their zero-backlash behaviour, in place of a gear train that would introduce lash on reversal.
  • 1:5 pulley ratio on the 11-inch and 14-inch fittings, matched to the heavier mirror-shift mechanism of the larger SCTs.
  • Bolts included: the screws and washers for the installation come in the kit.
  • Aperture-specific: this is the 11-inch fitting; the 14-inch and the 6/8/9.25-inch kits are separate parts.

Recommended Uses

  • Adding a second telescope to an existing Pegasus focus motor, with a bracket left on each scope.
  • Replacing a worn timing belt or a damaged bracket.
  • Converting a Pegasus SCT focus motor from one Celestron aperture to another.

Compatibility and Accessory Notes

  • For the 11-inch Celestron SCT — C11 Classic, EdgeHD 11 and RASA 11 v2, the same fitment as the 11-inch FocusCube Zero and Motor Focus Kit Zero.
  • Works with the Pegasus SCT focus motors — the FocusCube Zero and the Motor Focus Kit Zero, both of which we stock.
  • No motor, no controller, no cable. This is bracket, pulley, belt and bolts only.
  • Moving a motor between scopes? Tell us which two telescopes and we will confirm you are ordering the right bracket for each.

Good to Know Before You Order

  • This is hardware, not a focus system. On its own it does nothing — it is the mounting kit for a Pegasus focus motor you already have or are buying separately.
  • Aperture matters. The 11-inch bracket and pulley are not interchangeable with the 14-inch or the 6/8/9.25-inch parts.
  • Pegasus Astro does not publish a weight, material specification or dimensional drawing for this kit. Those rows are left out rather than filled with figures we cannot source from the manufacturer, and it is why this listing is not yet available to order — we would rather quote your shipping correctly.
  • Want it sooner? Get in touch and we will weigh one off the shelf and get the listing live for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to set up?

No. The bracket bolts to the telescope's focus mechanism and the pulley and belt fit the focus knob, using the screws supplied. Pegasus Astro publishes fitting instructions for the SCT focus installation.

Does this include the motor?

No. It is the bracket, pulley, belt and bolts only — the motor is the FocusCube Zero or Motor Focus Kit Zero.

Can I use it to move my FocusCube Zero to a second telescope?

Yes, and that is the main reason to buy one. A bracket stays on each scope and the motor moves between them.

Will the 11-inch kit fit my C14?

No — the 14-inch kit is a separate part, which we stock.

Why does the pulley ratio differ by aperture?

The larger SCTs have a heavier mirror-shift mechanism, so the 11-inch and 14-inch fittings use a 1:5 ratio while the smaller apertures use 1:3.75.

Bottom Line

In short: the bracket, pulley, belt and bolts for fitting a Pegasus focus motor to an 11-inch Celestron SCT — the part you buy to put a motor you already own onto another telescope.
