  • Description

The JMI Sky Trekker 350 Wheeley Bar is a heavy-duty Dobsonian dolly built for large Dobsonians in the 14-inch to 16-inch class — including the Meade 16-inch Lightbridge. Roll the entire Dob from storage to your observing position on locking caster wheels without lifting the rocker box or disassembling a single truss tube. Made in California, USA.

Product Overview

The Sky Trekker 350 is sized specifically for very large Dobsonian rocker boxes — approximately the 14-inch to 16-inch aperture class. It cradles the base of the rocker box and rolls on heavy-duty locking wheels, giving large Dob owners the same roll-in, roll-out convenience that Wheeley Bars have provided to mount users for decades.

Who Is This Product Best For?

Owners of 14-inch to 16-inch class Dobsonians, including truss-tube Lightbridge-style Dobs. Particularly useful when the rocker box is too heavy to comfortably carry for each session.

Why Choose This Product?

  • Built for the largest popular Dob apertures: Properly sized for 14-inch and 16-inch class rocker boxes.
  • Eliminate heavy lifting: Roll the rocker box — don't carry it.
  • Locking wheels for stable observing position.
  • USA-made JMI welded steel construction.

Important Limitations

  • For Dobsonian telescopes only — not for tripod-mounted scopes
  • Currently out of stock — contact us for availability
  • Confirm your Dob's base dimensions match before ordering

Our Recommendation

The Sky Trekker 350 is purpose-built for owners of 14-inch to 16-inch class Dobsonians. If your Dob is smaller, check the Sky Trekker 300. If your Dob is in the 18-inch or larger class, look at the Sky Trekker 400.
