  • Description

Take your JMI Wheeley Bar completely off pavement with the 10″ Pneumatic Wheel Upgrade. These large all-terrain rubber tires replace the standard casters and open up grass, dirt, gravel, and uneven ground — dark-sky fields, backyard pads on natural ground, or any site where the hard-surface wheels won't cut it.

The kit includes six 10″ pneumatic wheels and a tow handle — a rear pull bar that attaches to the steering axle so you can pull the loaded dolly across terrain rather than pushing from behind. A dual inboard wheel design on the rear axle maintains a narrow overall profile through doorways.

Product Overview

The 10″ Pneumatic Wheel Upgrade replaces the existing wheels (standard 2-3/8″ or 5″ polyurethane) with six large air-filled rubber tires. The tow handle mounts to the rear steering axle. Height increase above ground is approximately 3¼″ — lower than the 5″ polyurethane upgrade despite the larger tire size, due to the pneumatic tire profile.

Two Versions — Select Carefully

The correct version depends on your Wheeley Bar's leveling screw size. Check before ordering:

  • 5/8″ Leveling Screws (TPW10HD): All newer HD Medium and HD Large Wheeley Bars. If your bar was purchased in recent years, this is almost certainly correct.
  • 1/2″ Leveling Screws (TPW10): Standard Medium Wheeley Bars and older HD Medium/HD Large models. Measure the diameter of your leveling screws to confirm.

If you are unsure which version you have, contact us — ordering the wrong version means the tow handle bracket won't align correctly.

Who Is This Product Best For?

Anyone observing on grass, gravel, dirt, or any natural surface. Especially useful for dark-sky site users who need to roll their rig across uneven ground from a parking area to a field pad. Also the required prerequisite for the Motor Upgrade.

Why Choose This Product?

  • Full all-terrain capability: Grass, dirt, gravel, and rough ground — no surface limitation.
  • Tow handle included: Pull from the front rather than push from behind — much easier across rough ground.
  • Narrow profile: Dual inboard rear wheels keep the overall width manageable through doorways.
  • Required for Motor Upgrade: You must have the 10″ wheels before adding the motorized drive.
  • USA-made by JMI.

Specifications

  • Wheel diameter: 10″ pneumatic all-terrain rubber
  • Quantity: 6 wheels (dual inboard on rear axle)
  • Height above ground: approximately 3¼″
  • Tip-to-tip adjustment: lower tripod 3.5″ before measuring if sizing a Wheeley Bar with this upgrade

Important Notes

  • Not compatible with the HD Shorty Wheeley Bar
  • JMI will not accept returns of removed small wheels — the small wheels are traded in toward the upgrade price
  • Aftermarket installation option available for units with bolt-on wheels (current manufacturing); riveted wheels (very old units) cannot use this kit — contact us if unsure
  • You must also have the Battery Pack Holder installed before adding the Motor Upgrade

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I have 5/8″ or 1/2″ leveling screws?
Use a caliper or ruler to measure the outer diameter of one of your leveling screws. Newer HD Medium and HD Large bars have 5/8″. Standard Medium and older HD bars have 1/2″. When in doubt, contact us before ordering.

Does the tow handle replace the leveling screws?
No — the tow handle attaches to the steering axle at the rear of the Wheeley Bar. Leveling screws remain installed normally.

Can I still use the Tie-Down Bracket Kit with these wheels?
Yes — and you absolutely should. The Tie-Down Kit is essential when rolling over uneven terrain with any wheel configuration.

Is the Motor Upgrade available?
Yes — contact us for availability. The 10″ pneumatic wheels and Battery Pack Holder are required prerequisites for the motor upgrade.
