DSLR camera use lithium batteries that, during long exposure astrophotography, can run out of charge and thus avoid you imaging the night sky. That's why we created these cables with voltage regulator and false battery that allow you to power your camera directly from the Eagle (also Eagle Core) in place of the battery.
