The JMI Replacement Standard Leveling Screws are factory-spec replacements for the three leveling screws on a Universal-style Wheeley Bar — for when you've lost one in transport, bent one on a curb or rock, or just want a spare set in the gear case. Each screw carries the same knurled knob and threaded shaft as the originals. Sold as a set of three. Made in the USA by JMI (CXB Astro family).

Product Overview

A Universal-style Wheeley Bar levels on three screws — one per leg. This set of three matches the bar's full complement, so you can keep a complete spare on hand or replace all three at once. Each screw is a direct, factory-spec replacement (10″ long) in the diameter your bar uses.

Who It's For

Any Universal Wheeley Bar owner who has damaged, lost, or worn a leveling screw — or who wants a spare set stashed for a remote-site failure. Cheap insurance against a screw problem far from home.

Key Features & Design

  • Factory-spec replacement: Same 10″ length, knurled knob, and threaded shaft JMI ships from the factory.
  • Complete set of three: One per leg — replace all three to keep leveling consistent, or keep a full spare set.
  • Sized to your bar: Two versions matched to your bar's leveling-screw diameter.
  • USA-made by JMI.

Compatibility and Accessory Notes

Select by your leveling-screw diameter — the two are not interchangeable:

  • 5/8″ version (TPWLLS-5/8-R): Current HD Medium, HD Large, and HD Shorty bars.
  • 1/2″ version (TPWLLS-1/2-R): Standard Medium and older HD models.

Pull one screw and measure the thread diameter before ordering. Mismatching won't damage anything, but the wrong size won't thread into your bar's mount points.

Important Limitations

  • Replacement, not an upgrade: These do not convert a 1/2″ bar to 5/8″ — the frame's mount points are sized for one diameter. Retrofitting requires factory work; contact CXB Astro to discuss.
  • Not compatible with Triangle-Style bars (different mounting hardware — see the Triangle-Style Leveling Screws + Hardware kit) or Sky Trekker models.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my bar uses 1/2″ or 5/8″ screws?
Pull one screw and measure the thread diameter. 5/8″ is the current HD standard; 1/2″ is the older standard on Standard Medium and earlier HD bars.

Can I use the 5/8″ set to upgrade my 1/2″ bar?
No — these are direct replacements only. The bar's threaded mount points are sized for one diameter; you can't upgrade by swapping screws alone.

Do I have to replace all three?
No — you can mix old and new as long as all three are the same diameter. Many observers replace all three together so leveling feel stays consistent across the legs.

Does this fit the Triangle-Style bar?
No — the Triangle-Style uses different mounting hardware. Use the Triangle-Style Leveling Screws + Hardware kit for that frame.

Bottom Line

A USA-made set of three factory-spec 10″ leveling screws for Universal Wheeley Bars — direct replacements, not an upgrade. Match the set to your leveling-screw size: 5/8″ for current HD bars, 1/2″ for Standard Medium and older HD models.
