How It Works

1. Get in Touch
   Submit your item details using the form below. We'll discuss the condition and agree on a fair asking price together.

2. Ship or Drop Off Your Item
   Once approved, send us your equipment or arrange a drop-off. We’ll inspect the item to ensure it matches the description and functions properly.

3. We List and Promote Your Gear
   Your equipment will be professionally photographed and listed on our website and other sales channels.

4. Sale and Payment
   Once your item sells, we’ll hold the funds for 14 days. After that, you’ll receive payment via your preferred method (e-transfer, cheque, or store credit).

Our Consignment Terms

• Commission Fee: We take a 30% commission based on the final agreed-upon selling price.

• Payment Timeline: Payouts are made 14 days after the sale to allow for a brief evaluation period.

• 7-Day Grace Period: Buyers of used items are given 7 calendar days from delivery to report any proven functional defects. If a valid issue is confirmed, the sale may be cancelled and the item returned. This protects both buyer and seller from misrepresented equipment.

• Final Sale: All consignment sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on used equipment unless a defect is reported within the 7-day grace period.

• Ownership: Items must be legally owned by you and free of any liens or third-party claims. See below for details.

• Pricing Agreement: A mutual agreement must be made on the item price before it is listed. We reserve the right to decline any item that is damaged, incomplete, or does not meet our quality standards.

Ownership and Liability

All consigned items must be legally owned by the consignor and free of any liens or third-party claims. Ownership remains with the original owner at all times.

Ontario Telescope and Accessories assumes no liability for the item or its sale. All responsibility for the equipment’s condition, ownership, and history lies with the consignor. Any disputes or claims will be referred back to the original owner and will not be addressed by Ontario Telescope and Accessories.

While we take reasonable care, we are not liable for loss or damage due to fire, theft, flooding, natural disasters, accidental breakage, or other unforeseen events.

By consigning with us, you accept these terms and agree to hold Ontario Telescope and Accessories harmless in all such matters.
