Description

Baader Green 500 nm Bandpass Eyepiece Filter - 1.25"

Freedom from Ghost images, even when stacked. Striae-free substrates are polished parallel to 30 seconds to prevent wedge errors. Both faces feature the finest 7-layer hard multi-coatings with 0.25% residual reflections. No other colored filter on the market incorporates anti-reflection multi-coatings. Furthermore, these coatings vary depending on the filter in order to couple the coating performance with the filter curve of each color. This maximizes transmission while minimizing reflections.

Extremely High Transmissions provide maximum contrast to bring out planetary details, even when smaller telescopes are used. The three Baader longpass filters (Red, Orange, and Yellow) have peak efficiencies of 98%, while the three Baader bandpass filters (Green, Blue, and Dark Blue) top out at 70%.

Carefully designed spectral characteristics. Filters may be stacked without image degradation or ghosting, in order to provide even narrower passbands. Or, combine with any of the other Baader filters for interesting possibilities.

No reduction in sharpness, even at high magnifications or when using the filter far ahead of the focal plane (ie, digital imaging, or in front of a diagonal or binoviewer).
