Twist-Lock Mechanism:
Equipped with a knurled ring and a compression band, the twist-lock holder ensures a firm grip on your 1.25" diagonals, eyepieces, and accessories, providing stability and ease of use. -
Dual Functionality:
Unscrew the silver lock ring to reveal a male T-thread on the lower black barrel. This clever design allows the adapter to double as a Maksutov-to-T Thread adapter, effectively giving you two adapters in one. -
Included Accessories:
Comes with a 1.25" dust plug to protect your equipment when not in use and a rubber O-ring to ensure compatibility with male SCT threads that may be longer than the adapter’s female thread. This O-ring should not be needed for most applications but is included for added flexibility.
Important Notes on Maksutov Telescope Threads:
Many Maksutov and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes feature a rear male thread with an M44.5x1 specification (44.5mm diameter, 1mm thread pitch). While this is common, it is not a universal standard.
- Some Mak telescopes use a smaller T/T2 thread (M42x0.75).
- Larger Maks may use a standard SCT thread (2"-24TPI).
