Sales and Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you are not, please return it within 14 days of receiving the item.  We will then exchange, or refund at your request, subject to the following conditions:   

  • You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. 
  • Customers will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. 
  • All returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge.
  • Exchanges and refunds will take place after the original purchase is received and inspected.
  • Returns must be shipped back immediately and received in a reasonable time frame.  Returns that are not shipped back within 7 days will not be accepted.
  • Returned items remain the property of the purchaser until it is received on out dock.  We recommend utilizing a shipping service with tracking.  Customer is responsible for loss or damage to the goods while in transit. 
  • Goods must be returned with original packaging, all accessories, instructions, etc. and must be suitably packed. Any damage or missing items will impact the value of the refund.
  • CDs, DVDs or software will only be accepted if the seal or packaging is intact. 
  • Proof of purchase must be supplied and must be the original purchaser.
  • You must return free gifts supplied with the product. If not returned then the cost will be deducted from the return amount.
  • We will not refund items that have been customized, personalized or specially made to your specification. 
  • If an item is returned incomplete or not in good condition, we will decline to refund or reduce the amount refunded enough to reflect a lower resale value. This includes, but not limited to, marking, engravings, stickers, scratches, dents, damage caused by dropping or mis-use, etc…
  • If you decline to accept delivery of an order dispatched to you, we will reduce the amount refunded enough to reflect the cost of recovering the package/s. 
  • Items that are shipped for free will have the original shipping costs deducted from the refund.
  • We will not refund postage for items delivered.

Returns from the United States / International locations

  • All of the above applies
  • Any duty and custom charges that have been paid to the shipping company delivering the package will not be refunded.  Please contact the shipping company for available options.  In some cases if you can show that a return has been shipped out of country you may qualify for a refund of the fee's you paid.  
  • Please consider using USPS for your return.  Customs charges incurred in the return will be deducted from the refund amount

Used Equipment Sales - Final Sale

  • All used equipment sales are final: We do not accept returns or exchanges for used equipment.
  • No refunds: Due to the nature of used products, we are unable to offer refunds once a purchase is complete.
  • Condition Disclosure: We strive to provide accurate descriptions and images of all used equipment. Please review all product information carefully before making a purchase.
  • Inspection Before Purchase: We encourage customers to inspect the used equipment thoroughly before finalizing their purchase. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us prior to buying.

Exceptions

  • Defective Items: If you receive a used item that is significantly different from the description provided or is defective, please contact our customer service within 7 days of receiving the item. We will review your case and determine the best course of action at that time.
  • Shipping Damage: If the item is damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately.

Refunds

A return address will be provided at the time of an RMA being issued.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Please only return goods after first contacting us. We will respond to your individual circumstances wherever possible. Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

There is NO shipping on the weekends.  The shipping companies we use do not pick up on the weekends.  Some may delivery on the weekend to clear out backlog, but that is not within the control on Ontario Telescope and Accessories.  Shipping times are not guaranteed by Ontario Telescope and Accessories.  No refunds for shipped because of a late delivery will be processed.

Special Order Policy for Ontario Telescope and Accessories Inc.

At Ontario Telescope and Accessories Inc., we strive to meet the unique needs of our customers. Our Special Order Policy outlines the terms and conditions for products that are not part of our regular inventory and are specially ordered upon request.

1. Payment Terms

  • A deposit of 50% may be required to initiate a special order.
  • The remaining balance will be due upon delivery or as per the agreed terms.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Once a special order is confirmed with the manufacturer, it cannot be canceled. We urge customers to be certain of their purchase decision before confirming a special order.

3. Lead Time

  • The lead time for special orders will be quoted at the time of order confirmation. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on factors beyond our control.

4. Returns and Exchanges

  • All special orders are considered final sales. They cannot be returned or exchanged unless the product is defective or there was an error on our part.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • Special orders will adhere to our standard shipping and delivery policy unless otherwise specified.

6. Pricing

  • Pricing for special orders may differ from regular orders. Any price difference will be communicated to the customer before confirming the order.

7. Communication

  • We will keep you informed about the status of your special order, including any updates or changes to the estimated delivery time.

8. Limitations

  • Special orders are subject to availability from the manufacturer. In the rare event that a special order cannot be fulfilled, we will notify the customer promptly and process a full refund of any deposit made.
