The IDAS GNB uses near-infrared
light in addition to the characteristics of the conventional NB series to
capture high-contrast images of galaxies, star clusters, and emission nebulae.
In the visible region (wavelength 400-700nm), where there is a lot of light pollution, it has the characteristics of a nebula booster that is resistant to light pollution.
It is especially effective in one-shot color image sensors with high infrared sensitivity (IMX585, etc.). This filter is coated with high-density, high-durability aging-less IAD (Ion Assist Deposition) similar to IGAD (Ion-Gun Assist Deposition) used in LPS-D3 and NBZ .
The durability of the thin film is high, and the hardness of the thin film is comparable to quartz glass. Adhesion between the multilayer thin film and the filter substrate is also significantly improved. Changes over time in spectral characteristics due to temperature and humidity are almost non-existent in the environment where humans live.
