This camera is idea for the short focal guide scope. miniGuideScope is a f=130mm Diameter=30mm ultra small telescope with F4.3 ratio. It has no complex focal adjust system. Just rotate the front part focuser it can get fine focal adjustment. Each ring uses three-point adjustment, with screws machined from 7075 aluminium — which Losmandy states is 85% stronger than 6061 — tipped with machined 1/4-inch Delrin. The rings hold tubes from 2.96" to 4.32" in diameter, mount to a dovetail without tools, and weigh 29 oz for the set. Height from the top of the dovetail plate to the centre of the rings is 3.437" on D-series plates and 3.187" on V-series.

Who It's For

These are the rings for a guide scope or a small refractor that needs to ride alongside a main instrument. Three-point adjustment is the reason to choose them over a simple clamp: it lets you aim the tube rather than merely hold it, which is what makes acquiring a guide star quick instead of a hunt.
